Topping 65 hours, the record-setting WWE Gaming stream raised over $240 for Make-A-Wish

Temple City, CA, March 31, 2015:  Over March 27-30, Scott Gerhardt of The Gamers Dome completed a record-setting WWE Gaming content and commentary stream of 65 hours, 8 minutes broadcast on Twitch.tv.  Guinness World Records is currently verifying the record to be made official.   In conjunction with the stream, $240.86 was raised for Make-A-Wish America.   “With it being Wrestlemania season and having John Cena as probably Make-A-Wish’s greatest ambassador and wish-giver, it only made sense to run the event to benefit Make-A-Wish” said Gerhardt.

The event is the first in The Gamers Dome series “Sixty For Charity” where they will do a 60 hour stream over a weekend to raise money for and awareness of a variety of charities based on various games played and causes associated with those games.  “The gaming community is such a vibrant, giving community, and I wanted to have a way for them to be able to give back and enjoy quality gaming entertainment at the same time.”  The next Sixty For Charity event has not been officially scheduled yet, but Gerhardt says should take place “sometime in the next 4-8 weeks”.  “This is only the beginning.  As more and more people learn about this series, we expect to be able to have an even greater impact on the lives of others.

Any charities interested in being associated with the series or any businesses interested in partnering with The Gamers Dome on this series or other capacities should contact Scott Gerhardt directly at scott@thegamersdome.com.
